Owning signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai now this summer season, Liverpool are in the market for a third midfielder, and there is one particular star in the Premier League that the Reds really like but his selling price tag is a dilemma.
Owning captured two players Jurgen Klopp desired, the Merseyside club’s interest will now convert to a present day defensive midfielder. Brighton’s Moises Caicedo is a star that could fill that purpose but the player’s rate tag is far too much for Liverpool.
In accordance to transfer qualified Ben Jacobs on CaughtOffside’s Debrief podcast, Brighton want £100m for the 21-calendar year-aged and that is turning off a whole lot of golf equipment.
Chelsea are pushing for Caicedo at existing states Jacobs and they are the only club in the race for the midfielder – but the transfer journalist states that there could nonetheless be a twist.
It is unlikely that Liverpool will be a group that joins thanks to Caicedo’s value tag but the 21-yr-outdated is a participant the Reds like.

“Liverpool really like Caicedo. Barry Hunter, the main scout, to my knowledge was searching at Caicedo right before he joined Brighton but it was a messy offer. He was at a club recognized as IDV and was represented by a number of agents and there have been all kinds of messy fees,” Jacobs reported about Liverpool and Caicedo on the podcast.
The journalist continued by indicating: “Now the profile of Caicedo is great for Liverpool but the price tag isn’t.”
