MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin experienced some rough terms for Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) after the former speaker unexpectedly announced he would resign from Congress.
“McCarthy follows two other leaders, Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan, the trio, imagine it or not, this is a true e book, ended up when referred to as the ‘Young Guns’ of the GOP,” Mohyeldin informed the viewers on his Saturday show. “And now, as you can see, they are all out of Congress. And nevertheless there is some thing about McCarthy throwing up the white flag that feels uniquely pathetic, I should really say.”
The MSNBC host went on to demonstrate why McCarthy’s departure was “uniquely pathetic.”
“This former alleged typical bearer of the Dwelling of Republicans is not only hightailing it again to Bakersfield, California, he is executing so in these types of a way that will functionally kneecap his conservative colleagues,” he stated, incorporating, “with McCarthy’s determination to choose his ball and mainly go back home, Dwelling Republicans will have only a two-seat bulk to carry out the chamber’s business.”
Mohyeldin noted that McCarthy recently built his guidance for Trump public.
“By now, we have an understanding of it is not moral convictions or partisan ideology that truly guides Kevin McCarthy or, for that make any difference, the broader Republican Occasion,” he extra, “just pure political opportunism, not only on behalf of the Republican Party, but of course for Kevin McCarthy by itself.”
