As we reported earlier, President Joe Biden just demolished one of Donald Trump’s big attacks: that the president is so feeble, he’s afraid to debate Trump. Biden and the Trump campaign promptly agreed to terms and set the dates for two debates. Biden also got in a well-publicized dig in the process, saying, “I hear you’re free on Wednesdays.”
Well, that woke up Sleepy Don! He and his top advisers are “a little bit irked” that Biden seized control of the story, CNN’s Kristen Holmes reported, and now the Trump camp is trying to take it back. Despite the fact that he has said he’d debate anywhere, anytime, Trump is now demanding a debate on Fox News. He has to know that will never happen.
Holmes told CNN viewers that Trump announced on Truth Social he was going to accept a third debate on Fox News. But the Biden campaign isn’t falling for the ploy. Holmes read a statement from Biden Campaign Manager Jen O’Malley Dillon saying, “President Biden made his terms clear for two one-on-one debates. Donald Trump accepted those terms. No more games. No more chaos, no more debate about debates. We’ll see Donald Trump on June 27 in Atlanta – if he shows up.”
That’s a big if. Trump is not only lazy and ignorant, it will be tough to look presidential if he’s just been convicted of any of the 34 felonies he’s currently on trial for.
